People do things based on their religion because they fear the consequences - that they'll go to hell, be reincarnated as a flea, not be a "real" <whatever>.

So why aren't I allowed to drive as fast as I like on public roads because I fear that giant squirrels will catch up with me and eat me?

I made some pretty large changes last night. Here's a run-down of what I've added.

Ladies. Gentlemen. Unhinged AI constructs and extra-terrestrial observers. I present my lovely new website. Wow I'm tasked with writing the most important entry on the internet -- my opening post -- on zero caffeine. Wish me luck.

First, one might be wondering what was wrong with the old site. Actually, maybe not. Second, opinions have been pretty much spot-on 50/50 with regards to new design vs old. In this light, I've created a rather extensive skin system, for which, hopefully, artist Michael Wolfendale might be making a design. Kudos.

Last off all, all you clever php developers will soon have at your disposal a clever snippet database with a smashing heirachical adaptation system. More details soon!
